Hi Tina,
My greatgrandfather, Michael Downey of Limerick,Ireland came to the U.S.as a teenager,I believe. He married a Margaret Dalton of Irish birth. However, they settled in Greenwich, Conn. and then after Margaret's death , Michael moved to Stamford, Conn.He was born @ 1837 and died in 1859.The couple had three children: Lizzie, John and Daniel.I have very little other information.
