I have no information pryor to James Downey/Rachel Baker before 1714/1744.
James Downey showed up in Litchfield, CT about 1760. He was married to Rachel Baker. They had 12 children. This is the order in which they were born: James Jr.; William; Charles; unknown child; Thomas (Thomas is the only one for whom a birth is actually found to be recorded: born May 17, 1771 in Litchfield, CT); Titus; Robert; John; another unknown child; Lucy; Lysander; and another unknown child.
