My great Great Grandfather was John Downey - he was one of the first to settle the Ottawa Valley area - (Pembroke/Sheenboro) He was the census taker in 1864. He was the father of 26 children - by three wives - the last being Johanna Berrigan who was the mother of my Grandfather Alexander Stephen Downey. I'm looking for anyone with information on this group.
