No, never have found any further information. My Dennis Downey was supposedly born in County Limerick, Ireland; m. Catherine Donahue in Ireland and had at least 4 children (probably more). John b. 1844 Ire, d. 18 May 1904 Washington, DC; Catherine b. 17 Mat 1846 Ire, m. Thomas Flynn c. 1866 in DC, d. 29 Dec 1925 DC; Mary Rose/Ann b. 1860 DC, m. Benjamin F. Davis 19 Aug 1884 DC, d. 31 Aug 1944 DC; Benjamin whom I have no further info on. All but Benjamin are buried in the family plot at Mt. Olivet Cem., Washington, DC.
City directories show Dennis & John living in the same house as several other DOWNEY men among which are Jere, Patrick, John, etc. Patrick & Jere are also buried at Mt. Olivet in family plots next to my Dennis. I'm still looking for a connection between all these Downey families.
