I am looking for the parent of EUNICE ELEANOR DOWNEY b- Feb. 5, 1827 Muncie, Delaware Co., Indiana. The only information I was given was, her father may have been WASHINGTON DOWNEY and he was married to a BLOUNT. WASHINGTON DOWNEY D-1835, Muncie, Ind. ?? BLOUNT was b-1804. In digging through the internet information on the Delaware Co., IN website, I found a William Downey in that county who was a Methodist minister during the early years, ca 1827+ but it gives no names of family for him. There was a William Blount, Rev. War out of TN, his family is covered in the DAR site and lists children, several daughters, but no spouses of those children. HEY, I CAN DREAM CAN'T I???? I have looked for marriage records and birth records but all of that happened before the records of the county.
Eunice Eleanor DOWNEY married John Johnston and their first daughter was b- Feb 8, 1847 in Muncie, Delaware Co.
Can anyone shed some light on these people?
