APRIL BROWN...shouting out a big Hello to you!!

...someone I know about!!!
I am a daughter to Margaret (Downey) Stetler. She was born in Dowagiac, MI., 01/09/1924 to Andrew Joseph Downey and Margaret/Maggie(O'Halloran)Downey. Unfortunately Maggie died after complications of my mother's birth. My Grdmthr was from Ireland (as were the Downey's but I believe they immigrated earlier). My mother had two older sisters also born in Dowagiac; Josephine (Solon) and Rosaline (Nye). These three had a half-brother, Maurice Downey whose mother was Joann (Brosnan), Andrew's first wife.(They may have had a little girl Winifred before Joann passed away.) The Brosnan and Downey families were very friendly w/ adjacent farms in Silver Creek. (Downey and Brosnan Streets, although it's five miles from town.) Maurice and his family worked the farm until the mid 1970s then moved to MO. Josephine and her husband Joe purchased part of the land called 'The Old Place' ;where the family lived prior to building a little farmhouse up on a hill. Jo & Joe built a home there (early70s)and it still is in the family. Near the farmhouse is a lake where the little stream once watered the sheep and all the folks have passed away.
I am the youngest of the youngest Downey child and I am very eager to connect w/anyone who may have further info. I have more dates and a few more facts, but the live trail ends. My husband has so much family and contact I feel a little lost. It has been hard to even reconstruct much of my parents lives. Beyond that, I want to go to Ireland, but I know I'd enjoy more w/any info.
SO, Hey! ...any Downeys out there that recognize these folks??
