Yes,I believe Alexander Campbell Downey's wife was Elizabeth Lockhart (daughter of John H). Her mother is ?? I have pretty much the same info as you except we have Alexander's letters. One says had 2 children in Nov 1850, and last one in 1854 says they planned to sell land in Illinois and move to Indianny (sic). They are in the 1850 Randolph Co. Ill census. I am also hunting for Martha after 1860. My husband is youngest child of Emma Mitchell Brewer so you and my husband are some kind of cousins.
