DIED -- at San Francisco, Sept. 23, P.H. DOWNEY, aged about 28 years.
>>Wednesday, Sept 25 1861<<
P.H. DOWNEY -- This gentleman, who died at San Francisco on Monday last and was buried yesterday, was a brother to the Governor and had been acting, we believe, in the capacity of His Excellency's Private Secretary. He was formerly Collector at the port of San Pedro, Los Angeles county, and was a young man of quiet and amiable character. His age was about 28 years.
