I have an 1850 census of a William Downey who married a Martha Powell in 1848 in Howard County Mo. I feel that this Martha Powell was married to Fielding Powell Jr as in this census there were two Powell children listed. Fielding Powell was stabbed to death by his brother during a fight in 1848. I have newspaper clippings on the incident. Here is what i have on the census and if anyone is researching this line let me know.

On Leeman Powell i think that he was born in Va, as Fielding and Martha had a son under five in the 1840 census in Greene County Va. Anyone researching this line please E-Mail me at this Address.
