Page 213: Wagon train originated from areas of Kentucky, Missourri, and Indiana and went across the Natches Pass in Oregon in 1853, here is the list of the Downey's that were on this train. More info might possibly be found from the Oregon Historical Society.

William R. Downey
Mrs. William R. Downey
Christopher C. Downey
George W. Downey
James H. Downey
R.W. Downey
John M. Downey
Louise Downey (married one of the Guess brother on the trail)
Mason F. Guess
Wilson Guess
Jane Downey ( married a Clark on the trail)
Susan Downey ( married a Latham)
Laura B. Downey married a Bartlett

It also states that Annis Wright married an unknown Downey on the trail.

This journey was described in a letter written by George H. Himes, father of the Oregon Historical Society. He was writing to Ezra Meeker. There were 148 people on this wagon train. This historical book, has many names listed, but I am researching Downey, so I thought this might be helpful to fellow Downey researchers. Patty
