I have a Carter Green Downey, b. Oct 1828, Woodburn, Warren Co., KY, d. Feb 1, 1904, same locale. Buried in Old Zion Church Cemetery, Woodburn, Warren Co., KY.
I have Carter's parents as Abraham Downey, b. in Bowling Green, KY, c. 1805; d. in 1904. He married Martha Patsy White, b. in Surry Co., NC, c. 1798; d. in Warren Co., KY in 1863. I don't have any other siblings of Carter. The Downeys are in the 1880 federal census for Rich Pond, Warren Co., KY.
Carter married Mary Jane Mason on Nov 28, 1854 in Warren Co., KY. She was b. Dec 8, 1837, Warren Co., KY; d. May 28, 1914, Woodburn, Warren Co., KY. Buried with her husband.
Carter and Mary Jane are in the 1880 federal census for Rich Pond, Warren Co., KY, with most of their children. The censuses of 1880, 1910, 1920 and 1930 follow this family.
