My name is Gerald Henry Downey. My father was Gale Ronald Downey, Sr. His father was Edward L. Downey. My grandfather claims to be born in Ohio. His age matches up with cencus records for a John Downey (born in Ohio) and Ellen Sullivan (born in Ireland) married in Greene County, Ohio. I have not been able to verify the authenticity of this kinship.

There are many John Downey's as this was a very common name.
If this information is of value, please respond. If it isn't of value, I will understand no reply. Thanks
