Nicole,
Do you know where your family lived when they came to the U.S.A.. My Downeys settled in Ohio around 1860 or around that time. I know that my Great-great-grandmother was here in 1860 when she married my Great-great-grandfather Michael McNamara. Her parents also came to Ohio although it has not been proven when exactly with 2 sons and another daughter they settled in the Lima area. Let me know if I can be of any help.
