Downey's of Lafayette Indiana, early 1900's- need info

My grandfather George Elbert Downey was born Jan. 21, 1911 in Lafayette Indiana. His parents were John Downey who was married to Bertha Runyon. John also had a sister - Anna Elsie Ellen Downey. John Downey's father was Simon Downey who married a woman whose last name was Clippenger.

I never knew my grandfather or anyone on the Downey side of my family. Hoping to gather more information.
