Working on article on Downey Mill, Loudoun County VA. James M. m. Anna Eliza FUNK 10/16/1834 in Fraknlin County, PA, they moved via Washington County MD, eventually settling in Loudoun County, VA. James M. was son of William Donwey and Maria Dorothy Hartman. Have line back to James Downey b. 1724. Most interested in finding descendants of his d-i-l Laura J. COLLINS DOWNEY 1853-1930, her daughters Veta C. and Zula S. Zula m. John Good BENNEDICT 2/16/1909. Thier son John Downey BENNEDICT died Aug 25, 1944. Did he marry and have children? Searching for family pictures, pictures of Downey Mill, etc. for historical journal.
