Hi Folks,
My ggrandfather William J. Downey and his wife Ellen (Magurn/Maguire), both of Ireland, settled in the Charlestown area of Boston. Ellen and her family arrived in New York ~ 1840, there is some evidence that the family resided in NY for several years before coming to Boston. Known children include: Theresa, Hugh, Lucy and William Edward. I'd like to hear from anyone with information on this family.
