Our Downs family has had name spelled both DOWNS and DOWNES in various censuses, cemetery records, etc. There was a Laura DOWNS listed in the household with my great grandmother, (Mary) Bridget DOWNS in the 1908 CITY DIRECTORY OF ST. PAUL, MN. She was listed as a widow of Michael Downs. My great grandmother was the widow of a Michael Downs, also. We have no other information on this Laura Downs--wonder if perhaps Bridget and Michael Downs (my great grandparents) had a son Michael, whose widow this Laura could possibly be. Is there any connection to your Laura DOWNES??
