Would love to hear from anyone who is also searching the lines of the early family of John Downes and his wife Dorothy. John Downes was b. 1641 in Boston, Mass. He then married Dorothy, and they had 5 children in Boston. John Downes' son William Downes came to Southold, Suffolk Co., NY where he married Abigail Ryder and settled and had a family.
