What time frame does your John and Sarah fall in? My husband has a John and Sarah Downes on his line, but we have little information on them. I found them on a census in New Jersey in 1880. It listed John as being from New York. He was born about 1847/48 and Sarah was born about 1856. It's a long shot. . .just thought I'd check.
