My 3rd great grandfather is Daniel S. DOWNES, b. July 1821 in South Carolina. He married Martha A. HOLLINGSHEAD December 25, 1844. He died July 1900, (possibly in Houston, Texas) I don't know who his mother was, but I have the name (no data) of his father, John DOWNES. Additionally, the son of Daniel S. DOWNES is (my 2nd gr grandfather) John Daniel Downes, b. April 24, 1848, d. December 15, 1908. John Daniel married Martha Angeline TAYLOR abt 1871 in Alabama.
