Greetings to the multitude.
What does the word Downard actually mean and what are the oldest recorded origins of the name located so far?
If anyone knows the answer to this I would be eternally grateful.
I hope everyone is well and enjoys the old Millenium as much as the new.
Briefly I live in Belfast and teach. My family are from Brighton Sussex England and date back to the last centuary.Unfortunately my great grand parents were both deaf and dumb and my grandfather was reared by relatives so much of our history is lost. However I believe that we possess a photograph of a fisherman in the mid to late 19th centuary of a downard ancestor.
Enough of the waffle and bon appetite.
Cheers andy
