Having traced my Australian Dowlings to Somerset I would be fascinated to find any descendants in North America. Rev. Henry Dowling was a Baptist minister who had lived in Essex for many years before emigrating to Van Diemen's Land in 1834 with his wife and three youngest children to join other children who'd left England earlier. (Are you still there Valerie Saari?)
