I have set up a weblog which is dedicated to HMS Rushen Castle (a British Castle class corvette built in 1943) at www.rushencastle.co.uk.
If you are related to former Petty Officer F. Dowey I would be very interested to hear from you - he signed an invitation to the Petty Officer's Mess for dinner and darts for his Captain, Lieutenant Commander Colin Warwick, a copy of which I have included on the website.
Any memories or photographs of the ship would of course be marvellous - but it would also be very helpful if you would look at the photographs on the site and let me know if he appears in any of them - there are numbered silhouettes with each which can be used for reference.
