Judging from what I've been reading, you may have information on my Dowell ancestors. My grandmother was Mollie Augusta Dowell Coppedge. Her father was Augustus Hanon Dowell who married Mary Elizabeth Templeton. His father was William Thomas Dowell---a Baptist preacher who married Judith Colbert. His father was James Dowell who married Delilah ? ---they had a farm in Union Grove in New Hope Township (post office in Olin) North Carolina. It is thought in the family that James' father was Peter Dowell. I have no dates or other siblings. If we could perhaps match names and dates, it would help our research immensely. Thanks. Judy.
