We have a copy of the original record of John Dowell being "transported" to MD. It was in 1665. The man who transported John Dowell and others was granted land in Talbot Co., MD.
Has anyone checked the Talbot Co. records to see if there is any record for John Dowell? I think he is a good possibility for the father of Phillip, but have found no records for John after he was brought to MD.
I have not seen the records Dave refers to regarding Richard Tydings, 1659, 1667. Microfilm could likely be ordered thru LDS centers. What is the set of records the Lib and Fol. numbers refer to?
