Anyone know this Dowell family?

Here is what i've found:

Mary J BUTCHER b 1856 Monroe Co IN d bef 20 JUN 1900 m William DOWELL b JUN 1864 IL

Mary Jane Butcher is the dau of Nancy M BAXTER and Joseph BUTCHER both dying 1879 Monroe Co IN
In 1880 she is living with her brother in Lawrence Co IN and has dau Bertha who is 4 mos old.

Dowell William 40 Wd JUN 1864 IL NC OH
Bertha E 20 dau JAN 1880 IN IL IN
Cora A 15 dau JUN 1884 IL IL IN
Nellie E 14 dau NOV 1885 IL IL IN
Everet C 11 son JUN 1888 IL IL IN
Julia M 10 dau MAY 1890 IL IL IN
James C 7 son JUN 1892 IL IL IN
George H 5 son AUG 1894 IL IL IN

At rootsweb the family is listed and the marriage is listed as 11 OCT 1883 Shelby Co IL but i find no listing of him/them on the IL statewide marriage lists 1763–1900. Also the children listed there arent' the same as in the census.

Can someone help me with this family please?
