Dave,
Thank you for another connection!! I am a descendant of the Carlton line that connected with the Dowell line, when Mary Carlton became Peter Dowell's second wife. Mary Carltons father Lindsey Carlton was the son of John & Agatha (Lindsey) Carlton, my ggg-grandparents. I currently live in Henry County, Indiana where Peter and Mary lived from 1833 to 1839 when they moved to Missouri. I happened to find this information when I was actually tracing my wifes lineage and was surprised to find a Carlton listed as living here in 1833. I understand that there may still be some descendants of Peter and Mary still living here in this area, if you know anything about this I would appreciate getting in contact with them. I am willing to share the information I have and I would appreciate any that you have.
