The bio of Issac Carter also states that Lucinda Dowell's UNCLE JOHN was in the Revolutionary War. My John Dowell was in the Revolutionary War. I have looked up what is posted on Lucinda, her father George and her Grandfather George. The only Johns in the lineage were too young to be in the Revolutionary War. I have a John Dowell who served in the Revolution and he had a Brother George who also served. They would be the same age as George (Lucinda's grandfather) born in 1764(John) and 1759(George). My John's brother George died in Monroe Co Indiana so my John can not be Lucinda's Uncle John (too many George's in the mix) BUT altho many Dowells served, few were named John Dowell.....I find this bio mentioning Her Uncle John Dowell intriguing. Any ideas??
