I'm looking for Parents of John Levy Dowell b.1813 Wilkesboro N.C., was in the civil war. He married Nancy Margaret Jones on 6 Nov. 1841 in Wilkes County. Children were: Leddia, James Edward b. Dec 31,1837, Ruth, Elizabeth b. 1842, Sarah b. 1843, Mariah (Mary Jane) b.1847, Jiney L. b.1849, Dinney M. b.1852, John W. b. 1854.
Up to 1849, they were in Wilkesboro N.C., and by 1854, they were in Johnson County, Shouns, Tennessee.
James E. Dowell married Malinda Dunn and had these children:
