The obituary of my grandmother, Mollie Augusta Dowell, lists her parents as Augustus H. Dowell and Mary E. Templeton, which later research showed to be Augustus Hanon and Mary Ellen. In addition to Mollie, their children were Emma, Edward, Maud, Robert, Mae, Flake, and Margaret 'Maggie', all of whom I can remember meeting except for Emma and your grandfather Robert. The same research done many years ago by a close Dowell relative shows the parents of Augustus Hanon to be William Thomas Dowell and Judith Colbert.
