Hello Dowell Families

I have come to the end of the line and need information . . . I am looking for information on a MAHALA DOWELL and a JAMES MCIVES. According to their daughter's death certificate that was issued in Red River County, TEXAS, Mahala Dowell and James McIves were from Mississippi. However, I have been unable to find any census information.

Their daughter was Mahala Ann McIves - she was born October 2, 1846 (supposedly in Mississippi) and died April 28, 1919 in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas.

Her husband was William F. Smith born July 20, 1847 and died February 15, 1919 in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas. His parents were John Smith and Millie Kerney supposedly of Tennessee.

They had at least two children - William Horace Smith and Albert M. Smith.

I would appreciate any information or leads that you may have.
