I'm looking for a DOWDY-TUCKER connection in Flat Creek, Williamson Co, TN.

I have that John Dowdy (1780-1845) moved to Williamson Co., TN in 1805 from Bear Creek in Chatham Co., NC. In his will in 1845, John names his wife Raney Dowdy, and two of his children, Samuel and Sally.

William Tucker, (husband of Rachel Dowdy Tucker) was security for the executor of John Dowdy's will. William Tucker's father was John Tucker--who also had moved to Flat Creek from Bear Creek in Chattham Co, NC between 1805-1810.

William Tucker m. Rachel Dowdy between 1810-1815.
Rebecca Tucker m. Micajah Dowdy Nov 10, 1810
Martha Tucker m Allen Dowdy Feb 22, 1816

Maybe they are all siblings of John Dowdy.

William Tucker and Rachel Dowdy named their 6th child Allen after Rachel's brother.
Allen C. Tucker is my gggg grandfather.
William and Rachel are my ggggg grandparents on my paternal family line.

I'm interested in exploring this Tucker -Dowdy connection with anyone who might have some input.

Thanks,
Barbara in Nashville
