We do know that Bessie also had a son named Alonzo or Lonzo and went by two different last names one was Dowdy and the other Nipper. Alonzo was born out of wedlock. But his father was a Nipper. Robert and Bessie's mothers name was Maggie and i have heard that she was a Dowdy and married a Saulser? and maybe a Whited/White/Whitehead. It is so confusing.
