My grandfather, Charles Rufus Williamson, told me he came to Charlie,Clay Co., Texas from Ashdown Ark. after he was orphaned in the 1890s. Parents were James Polk Williamson and Nancy Hambleton Williamson. Said he came with a Dowdy cousin in a wagon. He lived with the Dowdy family for a while. I have no first names for the Dowdy cousins. Any help would be appreciated.
