I'm seeking information on the parents of Sarah Dowdy of Bedford Co., VA. She was born c1813; on 1 Jan 1833, she married Isaac N. Drewry in Bedford Co. They had the following children: Melissa Ann R., Giles B., Charles B., Henry V., Dexeriah G., Almira F., Luzetta Marinda, and Martha C.
According to her marriage bond (24 Dec 1832), she was the daughter of W. M. Dowdy. Could this be the William Dowdy I find listed in the 1830 census of Bedford Co., and in previous censuses of that county?
Any help on this will be most appreciated.
