Mary Bryant and Marcus Dowdy had a daughter named Ellen. She married my great grandfather Wash McClain. I found her listed in the census and she was either born in 1877 or 1888. Many people I have communicated with do not Ellen listed. I believe it may have been because she married the womanizing Wash. Ellen's sister Nellie married Joseph McClain.
