My Grandfather was Michael Dowdall from Ballygruby, Moneymore, County Derry. There are two branches of Dowdalls in County Derry. I am trying to locate cousins of my Grandfather. Just found Dowdalls in Scotland and interestin enough they call the name Dowdalls instead of Dowdall. Found out that in County Tyrone an s is added to many of the names which resulted in that branch having the name changed to Dowdalls.
