It is definately the same person.
Mary Elizabeth Dowdall married George Francis Moran. Their respective parents were:
- Patrick Dowdall and Anastasia Harbyrne
- Patrick Moran and Eliza Colgan
I haven't got any further back in my research
As far as I know, George and Mary had one child, Patrick Peter Stephen Moran, born c. July 1895; Patrick lived at 12 Pembroke Cottages. He joined the Royal Engineers in Dublin on 29/8/1914. Signed up again with “Kings African Rifles” on 27/3/1919.
Patrick Moran married Elizabeth Mary (Lil) Green. Their daughter Bridget is my wife's mother.
