Book of Dow has some information which might help. Thomas S. Dow appears in 1850 census as a farmer of Deer Island ME. A grandson in 1888 listed 11 children. Local records list 7. According to the book, "records have Julia b. 11 Feb 1810. Family record does not give her, but gives a Judith m. ___ Low, Jane, m. ___Scott, Dorothy d unm, Mary m. ____Small and living in 1888. Three of these are confirmed by local rec: Jane Dow m 1 Dec 1834, Leonard Scott; Judith Dow m. 15 Oct 1831, Thomas Lowe; Mary C. Dow m. 8 Jan 1844, Lemuel Small."

I can supply the whole line of Thomas S. Dow back to Henry Dow who came to Watertown Ma on 1639 - and a couple of generations before that.
