Thank You. I will consider this as a possibility. However, it need not be the only possibility..... I do note that with those imputed ages, this would mean that a child was born with the mother being age 45 - isn't that a bit late in life [back then] for such an event?

One of my grandmother's older sister was born in New Hampshire (all I have is the state - from the California death index), and her older brother was born in South Dakota (I don't know why). She was born in Virginia, but it was said that her mother was on vacation at the time.
