Rachel Dow of China, Kennebec County, Me

I am wondering if there is a reader who has deciphered and understands 'The Book of Dow -Genealogical Memoirs' by Robert Piercy Dow in 1929. I have a Dow that I would love to find ancestors of. Rachel Dow married 5 Jan. 1797 [China, Me. records in Kennebec County] to Johan Adams Harvest, he born circa 1756, and died 17 June 1835 in Waldo Plantation [now in Waldo County, Maine], aged 79 years. Johan, I believe was German, possibly an immigrant, who served in a branch of the military, enlisting in the Spring of 1779 in New Hampshire. Rachel could have been born anywhere in the 1750's, but I tend to think that perhaps she was younger than he, being born perhaps in the 1770's. She probably died before 1818, when Johan married 2) 1 Dec. 1818 in Washington, Me. to Anna Meservy of Palermo. [She, as his widow applied for a pension, and married Thomas Keating, perhaps of Belfast, Me.] Rachel Dow was apparently the parents of: Autumn Harvest born circa 1803, Thomas Harvest, born circa 1805, and my ancestor, Maria Harvest, born circa 1813. She married circa 1828 to Joseph Burns Lermond. On s msp of what is now Albion, Me. [I believe Fairfax at the time] is J. Harvest with Lot # 10. With a name like Harvest, there doesn't seem to be many around. There was a Christopher Harvest in Belmont, Me., apparently the son of Johan's second wife. If anyone has Dow data that relates to my Maria, I would love to hear of it. May God richly bless. Isabel Morse Maresh
