My great-grandparents William D. Waid and Mary E. Waid, both born in PA 1865, appear in the 1900 census with 5 children including my maternal grandfather, Ralph Dow Waid, b. Sept. 1888 [d. Butler PA Jan. 1933].
William and Mary Waid's household also includes an Agnes J. Dow, relationship not known, born June 1883. I know that my grandfather's name was Ralph DOW Waid and William's middle initial was "D". Thus it appears likely, probable even (as practice of giving family surnames as middle names was usual in my mother's side of my family) that Agnes J. Dow b. June 1883 was kin to the Waids.
Anyone with knowledge of Agnes J. Dow b. 1883 living in Tidioute, Warren Co., PA in 1900, or relationships between the WAID and DOW families in Penna. in the mid- to late-1800s, is asked to share that info with me.
Best milennial wishes.
