I have looked though The Book of Dow for anything that might be helpful to you. There is a Sally b. Belmont 3 Sep 1773. No further information on who she m. or a date of d. Her father was Noah Dow who inherited a slice of the town of Gilmanton that had been purchased from Samuel Gilman Jr by Noah's grandfather, Benjamin Dow. The purchas was made when the town was newly organized, and Gilmanton became the home of more Dows than any other town in this country.

Noah was the first Dow to reach Gilmanton, 1772. He m. at Belmont, 2 Dec 1772, Hannah Folsom.

The book has little on the children of Noah and Hannah - and comments that " the old-fashioned, non-genealogical, inadequate Hist Gilmanton gives little aid."

I found no mention of a Dow cemetery, so don't know if there is one in Gilmanton.

If you want additional information on the ancestors of this Sally, please email me.
