DOW (Lincolnshire,England)?
Posted by: Alwyn Dow Date: November 03, 1999 at 10:01:41

Hi, does anyone know anything of the Dows of Lincolnshire, England ? My father (Neville)
was one of 12 children originating I believe from Scotland. My grandfather was married 3
times but I have no details of names, dates or anything as everything seems to have been
covered up for reasons unknown.

My father was born 1925 and had 3 brothers, Ivor, James and Thomas....Thomas killed in action WWII (Burma I think)....Ivor currently lives at Lincoln, James at Rotherham and my father sadly died in 1986.
I don't know why but Ivor and James are both loathe to talk about their childhood, relatives etc. and I have to respect their wishes, frustratingly this makes the search more fascinating but I need to get past the immediate "dead end".

any help appreciated...

many thanks
