Book of Dow has a Joseph who went from MA to Southport, an uninhabited island just outside Wiscasset, ME. Was a ship builder - and at request of the Gocernor, went to St.John, NB. He got a land grant in 1810. 6 sons and 1 dau lived in Oromocto - and were very wealthy. Dau Eunice - name recalled by posterity, but no further info on her.
Book has extensive info on brother John, regarded as head of family of Oromocto Dows.
