Pauline - Thank you. I had seen the 1880 info, but everything else was new to me. The census results show the need for multiple sources; the "Orvis" mentioned in the 1910 census actually is Orris and, to the best of my knowledge, a granddaughter - not grandson. I wonder where "Wilmer" came from in the 1900 enumeration? You have given me much more than I had expected, and I will follow-up on the links you provided. Do you have a tie to the Dows?
