A biography & portrait of E.E. Dow are included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 860 & 861.
E. E. Dow was born, Sep 1860, the son of Millen L. and Olive (Tompkins) Dow. He was educated in Canada and came to Belton, MT, at age 23. Edward erected a large hotel at Belton, MT, at the west entrance of Glacier Park. He was also in the mercantile business and a postmaster for twenty years.
E.E. Dow married Miss Katie Conant, a native of Canada.
