According to "The Book of Dow," Nathaniel Harland Dow was the son of Levi Dow and Hannah Goss Drake. Nathiel H. was b. 8 Feb 1845 in New Hampton. 1850 census shows the family in New Hampton, Belknap Co. NH.

The book lists 3 children for Nathaniel - but the first 2 were by his first wife, Margaret.

The 1900 census shows Nathaniel in Canterbury, Merrimack Co., NH with wife Ida M. (they had been married 6 years)and son Nathan D. was 4 (according to census he was b. Oct 1895). The book lists his birth as 26 Oct 1895.

In the book, the ancestors of Levi are given back to immigrant ancestor Henry Dow of Watertown MA - and a few generations before him. Please e-mail me personally for additional information.
