Hi, In the Book of Dow, the ancestry of Sewell B is different from what you have listed. Starting with immigrant Henry, the line carries on through Joseph, Joseph, Judah (his brother Eliphaz is famous for being hung in Portsmouth,NH for murder), Zachaeus, Tristram, and Sewell B. Dow (page 197 and 199 of Book). There is another Tristram, who WAS the son of Jacob, but he married in 1824 so not father of Sewell. The other Sewell B mentioned, who was born in 1827 to Elihu Dow (who is son of before mentioned Jacob), died in 1847 unmarried.
I hope this helps you.

John
