Henry Dow (guessing bchd or bchb line) m. Ann Gallagher, 1835

Seeking information on Henry Dow who married Ann Gallagher about 1835. This is the reference in the Book of Dow:

From the foregoing it may be seen that about half of the Dow tribe of Jefferson have so far been genealogically placed. Further search locally will doubtless place many more. Presumably all Jefferson Dow belong to the bcbhd line, so all such are collected and indexed here for easy reference.

Henry Dow bcbhdxa {indicates the first in this list and from the bcbhd line by unknown person x} Jefferson annals mention that a Dow became a pioneer of Perham, but it finally comes to light that this is Peter Dow bcbhddg, who went there rather late in life. Another Dow was of Perham, but he is known only from rec of 2nd marriage of a son, which says Henry m. Ann Gallagher, both of N.B. There is surely no room in bcdg line for him, and probably none in the h family. A much better guess is of the bchd or bchb line and that the N.B. reference applies to Ann but not to Henry. One child found: a James H. b. presumably 1835 or so.

James Henry Dow born 24 August 1838/9 is my gg grandfather.

Henry and Ann's first child was a daughter, Nancy Agnes Dow, born 20 September 1837.

Both children were born in New Brunswick. Ann Gallagher was born in Andover, New Brunswick in 1821.

I don't know anything about Henry and I need help.

Where is the Perham that is referred to?

Who were Henry's parents? Where and when was he born?

Who was his first wife? Any children?

What happened to this Henry Dow?

Ann Gallagher married James McNeal in 1842. On the 1851 Victoria census, Nancy Dow is listed with Ann and James McNeal/Neil.

James Dow went to Maine in 1846 to live with Ann's half sister, Elizabeth Shay/Shea. He's listed on the 1850 census of Aroostook County/Eaton Grant. Ann's mother and stepfather, Nancy McGee Gallager and Michael Somers, are also listed with Elizabeth and her husband.
